a) Instruction to the applicant for filling application form

i) Make sure that you are eligible for admission.
ii) Use block letter only in filling the application form.
iii) Complete all columns. Otherwise your application is liable to be rejected.
Avoid over writing.
iv) Wherever boxes are provided entries are to be make in the boxes. Use tick (1) mark when necessary.

b) The instruction are given item-wise as given in the application form:

Item 1 Write your full name as given in HSLC record.
Item 2, 3 Write complete postal address with PIN & Tel. No.
Item 4, 5(i, ii), 6 Fill the particular as given.
Item 7 (i, ii) Tick the appropriated boxes.
Item 8 Indicate the nationality.
Item 9 Indicate the religion.
Item 10, 11 Tick the appropriated boxes.
Item 12 Write the date of birth as HSLC pass certificate record in the appropriated boxes.
Item 13 (i) Tick the appropriated boxes. (ii) Fill the particulars as given.
Item 14 Write the name of school or college in which the applicant last attended. Item 15 Tick the appropriated box.
Item 16 See "Course of Study" for the prospectus.
Item 17 Fill all columns of educational qualification as given.
Item 18, 19 If you have any educational qualification and extra curricular activities mention them clearly.
Item 20 Fill the declaration form of parent/guardian and have it duly signed by parent/guardian.
Item 21 Fill the declaration form of applicant and have it duly signed.

c) Documents to be submitted:

A student has to submit the following particulars along with the admission form for admission. i) Two recent passport size photographs (one to be pasted in the place given in the application form) ii) Attested copies of a) Admit card of HSLC/CBSE b) Mark sheet from HSLC onwards c) Pass certificates from HSLC onwards d) Caste certificate in case of ST, SC. OBC, MOBC from relevant authorities. e) Documents in support of additional qualifications (if any) f) Documents in support of extra curricular activities (if any) iii) Gap period certificate where applicable.

ACADEMIC SESSION

The college session usually begins in July with the autumn recess in September-October and summer recess in June - mid July. A tentative programme of the activities of college during session is outlined in the academic calendar of the college given at the back page.

COLLEGE INTERNAL EXAMINATION

Periodical unit tests of H.S. and T.D.C. will be held. Dates of the final examination of H.S. will be notified by the AHSEC and the dates of the T.D.C. examination by Dibrugarh University. For sending up students to the H.S. final and TDC part I, II & III examination, the college will hold unit test examinations. The minimum marks required to pass in a subject in the council and University examination are also minimum mark to pass in a subject in the college examination subject to special consideration of the teaching staff body.

Application for admission into the first year HS/TDC classes should be made in the prescribed application form obtainable in the office. Prospectus and application form for admission are issued after the announcement of HSLC (SEBA) and HS (AHSEC) examination as the cases may be. (The dates of admission of fill up forms and interview etc. are to be notified in the college notice board.) Admission into the college is strictly on merit basis and the Principal's decision regarding the admission is final.

Issue of application form is not a guarantee for admission

There should not be any pressure or interference from any guardian, directly or indirectly, for admitting a particular student. If any such pressure or interference is exerted, the candidate shall forfeit his/her claim for admission. Candidate passed in first division will be admitted without interview. All other candidate will have to be present in the interview.

The presence of the parent/guardians at the time of interview and admission is compulsory.

At the time of interview, a candidate is required to produce the original copies of (a) Mark-sheet of the last qualifying examination, (b) Pass certificate mentioning ages, character, etc. from the head of the institution last attended, (c) Caste certificate from the competent authority, where necessary, (d) Certificates of Proficiency, if any, in the extra curricular/co-curricular activities etc. Selection of candidate for admission is made by a selection committee constitute by the Principal. Student who passed the last qualifying examination earlier then the current year will have to submit a gap-period certificate regarding their activities during period to the satisfaction of the authority. Admission to the college and the hostel takes place on the day of the interview and the candidates have to make necessary payment on the same day. After interview no student will be allowed or consider for admission under any circumstances.

RULES OF ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING EXAMINATION

a) University / Council Examination

i) A student must attend not less than 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject to be eligible for appearing in the University or Council examinations. A student not fulfilling the above requirements will not be sent up to the final examination. Non-collegiate and discollegiate rules and regulation will be maintained strictly.
ii) The sportsman will be treated as present if sent by the college for competition outside the college, for participation or practice.
iii) Submission of the University/Council Examination Form obtained from the college staff shall be the solo responsibility of the student. Every student must check-up with the college office that his/her examination form has been received in the office for its onward submission to the Dibrugarh University / AHSEC Council.

b) College Internal Examination

i) The College conducts 3(three) Unit/Sessional Tests every for Higher Secondary and Degree Students. The students who attend 75% lectures shall allowed to appear in these tests.
ii) Absence from this examination on any ground will be treated as failure.
iii) Students absenting themselves from the College Internal Examinations without leave will be fined at the rate of Rs. 100/- per paper.
iv) The student using unfair means are liable to be expelled from the college and a penalty of Rs. 200/- per case will be imposed. CHANGES OF SUBJECTS Normally, a student will be allowed to change his/her subject or stream upto the dates expired by the University/Council for admission or within 15 days of the admission of the student whichever is later, with the prior permission from the principal.

RULES FOR WITHDRAWALS :

A student who wishes to leave the college must apply for the same and the application must be countersigned by his parent or authorized guardian. Until a student's name is formally withdrawn, he is liable to pay all college dues and fines levied. Student leaving the College must inform the Principal in writing. No certificate of any kind will be issued to those leaving the College without permission. Refund of fee is not permissible. No certificate of any kind will be issued to students who have not cleared the arrears of fine, hostel or college dues or library books fine.
